NETWORK TESTING SERVICES - Williams Communications offers additional network testing services to ensure your fiber plant can meet higher capacity DWDM system requirements and tighter industry service level agreements (SLA’s) on new Carrier Ethernet systems.

Fiber Characterization Includes CD, PMD and AP tests that DWDM equipment manufactures utilize to engineer and assert that their 10/40/100Gb/s systems will function as designed over the available fiber in question.

New Optical Carrier Ethernet systems require new testing methodologies and test equipment designed to ensure proper data traffic flows. RFC-2544 has become the industry standard preferred test to run for new circuit activations. Testing parameters such as frame loss, delay, variation, throughput, and burst capability per circuit are required at a minimum to ensure your network is meeting your customer SLA’s.
